Once completed, that’s it! Simply tap the “create challenge” button and start tracking your progress towards meeting your goals! If you would like to create another private challenge with different partners or change any of these settings, simply click on “manage challenges” from the menu located in the top right hand corner of your dashboard. From there you can edit or delete existing challenges as well as add new friends & family members to upcoming challenges!

Parents can add their child’s fitbit to their account by following these steps:

Step 1: Log into your parent dashboard and click on “manage your family” in the top right hand corner.

Step 2: On the manage page, hover over the family member you would like to add a fitbit to and click on “add device.”

Step 3: From there you will enter your child’s first name, last name, birthday, gender, email address, current weight and height (optional) as well as select if they are an adult or child. You must also confirm the accuracy of their information before continuing.

Once confirmed, your child is now added to your account! You will receive an email once your child’s fitbit is linked. If you believe that they are not receiving emails from our site please be sure to check the spam/junk folder in their email or talk with them about improving their inbox settings.

Step 4: Once you have confirmed, a pop-up will appear allowing you to choose which parent will control this account (either yourself or your spouse). You must also confirm that you would like to connect this fitbit to your family member since adult accounts cannot sync directly with children’s accounts.

Once completed, your family member’s fitbit has been added and synced! It will now show up on both the dashboard for the parent as well as on their tracker during a challenge. Family members who are linked will appear as such on the dashboard and should also sync any data entered into their fitbit. We strongly recommend that parents monitor, educate, and administer challenges to minors (under the age of 13) who use a fitbit or tracker.

Switching to kid view in the Fitbit app will allow you and your child to access their daily stats.

Fitbit just rolled out a small but significant update enabling you to pair multiple devices, which will allow you to track your steps at work on the Fitbit Flex and then monitor your heart rate at the gym on the more expensive Fitbit Surge.

Select the “My family account” menu and input your child’s information.

Fitbit family account gives parents the opportunity to protect their kids’ privacy and stay in touch with their activity.

Tap the menu button on the top left of the screen. Tap Devices and then tap add. Select your model when prompted and follow the prompts that will appear.
