Today the Chinese OEM Honor revealed the release date of its upcoming devices Honor 8X and 8X Max. On a Chinese social media forum, it revealed the poster with the device names and the release date. This is not a sudden reveal of the device duo. A few days ago a retail box of Honor 8X was leaked. However, the official poster mentions there is another device, which is the Honor 8x Max. Both these devices will release on the coming September 5th.

Both Honor 8X and 8X Max will pack similar features except for the display. The latter will flaunt a bigger display than the 8X. Honor 8X will bring a big 7.2-inch display with 18.7:9 aspect ratio and 2244 X 1080 Pixel resolution. Honor 8X max will bring a display of 7.12 inch. Both the devices will sport Snapdragon 660 chipset, 4GB of RAM and will have two storage options in form of 64 GB and 128 GB. All these specs were revealed in various certifications these devices went through.

The device duo Honor 8X and 8X Max pack a 4,900 mAh battery each, however, according to the 3C certification 8X Max gets an 18W fast charger. In the camera section, we get a dual rear camera set-up of 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. Both the devices will run Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box with Huawei’s EMUI 8 custom skin.

Artificial intelligence will be the primary attraction of the devices. Lately, most of the Chinese OEMs are playing the AI as their trump card when producing a new device. Speaking of which upcoming Honor devices will sport AI super night mode, elevator mode, and GPU Turbo. There are no leads on the pricing but it will be suitable for the pocket of the buyers. With all the latest features under their sleeves, Honor 8X and 8X Max are all set to rule the Android market.
